Role Overview:

As the Head Phase I: COBP, CPP, you will spearhead the strategic development and operational excellence of critical initial phase processes within our organization in Orissa. This pivotal leadership role involves orchestrating the day-to-day implementation and continuous optimization of our Core Operational Business Processes (COBP) and Critical Path Planning (CPP) frameworks. You will work closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams spanning operations, engineering, supply chain, and quality, as well as external regulatory bodies and technology partners. Your impact will be profound, directly influencing the efficiency, quality, and risk profile of our foundational operations, thereby driving significant business outcomes in terms of productivity, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to global quality standards, ultimately enhancing our competitive advantage and stakeholder value.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and implement advanced COBP and CPP strategies to optimize operational workflows, ensuring seamless execution and superior performance across all Phase I initiatives for enhanced organizational efficiency.


- Establish and rigorously enforce comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) protocols, guaranteeing that all processes and outputs meet stringent internal and international standards, thereby safeguarding product integrity and customer satisfaction.


- Develop and execute robust Risk Management frameworks to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential operational, quality, and compliance risks within Phase I, ensuring business continuity and protecting organizational assets.


- Champion Process Excellence initiatives, leveraging methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks to drive efficiency gains, cost reductions, and innovation across all operational facets.


- Cultivate and lead high-performing teams, implementing structured Leadership Development programs to mentor talent, foster a culture of accountability, and empower individuals to achieve their full potential.


- Collaborate strategically with internal stakeholders, including R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure alignment of Phase I objectives with broader business goals and facilitate successful project transitions.


- Oversee the integration of cutting-edge technologies and best practices into operational processes, driving digital transformation and ensuring our Phase I capabilities remain at the forefront of the industry.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex operational processes and critical path planning within large-scale industrial or manufacturing environments.


- Proven ability to establish and manage world-class Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems, including a deep understanding of relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, API, GMP).


- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of identifying and mitigating significant operational and quality risks.


- Strong leadership acumen, evidenced by success in building, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.


- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective engagement with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders.


- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Metallurgy) from a premier institution is essential, with a Master's degree or MBA preferred.


- A minimum of 22-25 years of progressive experience in process-intensive industries, with a significant portion in a senior leadership role focused on operational excellence and quality management.


- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, on-site operational environment in Orissa, demonstrating adaptability and resilience in managing complex projects.
