Designation: Head of Supply Chain & Partnerships

Reporting Location: Bengaluru

Extensive Travel: 90% across India-s coastal regions (This is not a desk-based SCM role.)

Experience: 7-12 Years

We are looking for an energetic, entrepreneurial, and highly driven professional who loves being on the ground - travelling, building relationships, negotiating deals, and creating an entire sourcing ecosystem from scratch.

The Mission:

Our client is working on an important environmental challenge - recovering end-of-life fishing nets and ocean ropes and transforming them into premium recycled plastics.

These recycled materials can then find their way into industrial applications, including the European automotive ecosystem.

What Will You Build:

- Identify and procure discarded/end-of-life fishing nets and ocean ropes

- Establish collection hubs across strategic coastal locations

- Build long-term sourcing relationships with shipping companies, large fishing groups, individual fishing communities, aggregators and other suppliers

- Negotiate highly competitive procurement prices and develop a reliable supplier ecosystem

- Ensure consistent monthly sourcing against defined tonnage targets

- Coordinate transportation of collected material to the processing/factory ecosystem

- Build dashboards and visibility around collection, inventory, logistics, cost, and supply

- Start as an individual contributor, prove the model, and eventually build and lead a larger Supply Chain & Procurement team

What We Need:

- Has a strong personality and executive presence

- Is an excellent negotiator with strong procurement and pricing capabilities

- Can communicate confidently in English and preferably multiple Indian languages

- Loves extensive travel and enjoys meeting people on the ground

- Is highly self-motivated, target-driven and entrepreneurial

Who Are We Looking For:

- Professionals with 7-12 years of experience across areas such as Supply Chain, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Development, Sales, Business Development, Logistics, or Industrial Operations.

- Experience in sustainability is a definite advantage - but not mandatory.

- Bengaluru candidates preferred. Candidates from other locations should be willing to relocate to Bengaluru.
