Head - Partnerships & Credit - Marketplace Startup

Role & responsibilities

An early-stage marketplace startup in the credit-led commerce space is hiring a Head of Partnerships & Credit to lead lending partnerships, credit strategy, underwriting optimization, and portfolio growth initiatives.

The role involves managing relationships with NBFCs, banks, and fintech partners while driving approval rates, portfolio quality, risk controls, and scalable lending operations. The candidate will work closely with leadership, product, analytics, and operations teams to build and scale the credit ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build and manage lending partnerships with NBFCs, banks, and fintechs

- Drive credit strategy, underwriting frameworks, and risk optimization

- Handle commercial negotiations, SLAs, and lending structures

- Improve approval rates, portfolio quality, and customer journeys

- Work on co-lending, embedded finance, and alternate data strategies

- Manage portfolio monitoring, compliance, and lending growth metrics

- Coordinate with product, analytics, compliance, and operations teams

Preferred candidate profile

- 6-10 years of experience in fintech, NBFCs, banking, or consumer lending

- Strong exposure to credit strategy, underwriting, lending partnerships, and risk management

- Good understanding of RBI regulations, digital lending ecosystem, and consumer credit

- Experience in stakeholder management and CXO-level interactions

- Strong analytical and portfolio management capabilities
