Operation Head (From Plastic Autocomponents Experienced only)

Function: Operations

Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Direct Reports: Plant Heads / Unit Heads

Location: Pune

Role Purpose:

To lead and drive end-to-end manufacturing operations across plants to achieve business objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and customer satisfaction, while building operational excellence, strengthening systems, and developing plant leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Strategy & Execution:

- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business growth plans.

- Drive operational efficiency, capacity utilization, and productivity improvement across plants.

- Ensure alignment between production planning, customer demand, and delivery commitments.

- Lead annual operating plans for manufacturing and operations.

2. Multi-Plant Operations Management:

- Provide leadership and direction to Plant Heads for smooth plant functioning.

- Monitor plant performance through defined KPIs (OEE, productivity, rejection, downtime, cost per unit).

- Standardize processes and best practices across plants.

- Ensure optimal resource utilization across locations.

3. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement:

- Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, and cost improvement initiatives.

- Lead initiatives for waste reduction, cycle time improvement, and process optimization.

- Establish data-driven performance review mechanisms.

4. Quality, Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to quality standards (IATF, ISO, customer requirements).

- Strengthen safety culture and ensure statutory compliance.

- Drive zero-defect and zero-accident mindset across plants.

5. Cost & Productivity Management:

- Drive manufacturing cost optimization initiatives.

- Monitor conversion costs, material yield, and operational efficiencies.

- Support business development through cost competitiveness.

6. Cross Functional Coordination:

- Work closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Business Development teams.

- Support new product development and smooth product launches.

- Align operations with customer requirements and delivery timelines.

7. Leadership & Capability Building:

- Develop Plant Heads and second-line leadership.

- Build accountability, ownership, and performance culture.

- Strengthen review and governance mechanisms across plants.
