A fast-growing digital commerce organisation, in partnership with a leading marketplace, is launching a new large-scale initiative in the durable categories. We are looking for an accomplished and strategic leader to join as Head - Operations to drive this business end-to-end.

This is a core leadership mandate with full ownership of growth, profitability and operational excellence across multiple functions.

Key Responsibilities:

P&L Ownership & Strategic Leadership:

- Lead the complete e-commerce P&L including revenue, margins, cost efficiencies and contribution targets.

- Build and execute annual business plans, category strategies and expansion roadmaps.

- Identify growth opportunities, customer segments and product strategies to scale the business sustainably.

Category & Marketplace Management:

- Oversee assortment, pricing, promotions, demand planning and inventory strategy.

- Drive marketplace performance through strong engagement and strategic planning with platform stakeholders.

- Boost traffic, visibility, conversions and fulfilment outcomes through effective execution.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Operations:

- Lead senior teams across seller operations, buying, vendor management and related verticals.

- Establish scalable SOPs across procurement, supply chain, inventory, fulfilment and returns.

- Work closely with finance, logistics and vendor teams to ensure seamless operations.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management:

- Continuously monitor KPIs including fill rate, CSAT, buy-sell margin, and event performance.

- Identify and mitigate business, financial, operational and legal risks.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory norms, marketplace policies, taxation rules and data protection guidelines.

People Leadership:

- Build a strong, agile and high-performing team with deep ownership and customer-first thinking.

- Drive capability building, performance management and succession planning across the e-commerce vertical.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement:

- Leverage analytics to generate insights into customer behaviour, pricing impact and category performance.

- Lead structured performance reviews using dashboards, KPIs and data-driven decision-making.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 15+ years of leadership experience in e-commerce, digital retail, consumer tech or high-growth organisations.

- Strong functional depth in marketplace operations, category management and digital commerce.

- Proven track record in leading large teams and managing complex P&Ls.

- Entrepreneurial mindset, strong stakeholder management and execution excellence.

- Robust relationships across brands, vendors and marketplace ecosystems.
