Head - Operations - Manufacturing

Job Profile:

- Strong understanding of plant (Shop floor)/manufacturing operations

- Understanding and control of various types of costs associated with plant operations.

- Ability to prepare a project charter with a timeline and costs.

- Ability to manage Warehouse (Two bin System, Kaizen, Re-order Points, Scheduling etc)

- Management of strategic supply chain for various projects (vendor management, availability of input materials, trades payable/ receivable)

- Thorough understanding of Total Quality Management / QMS (As 9100: Rev D/ ISO 27001/ISO 13485)

- Fair understanding of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing concepts

- Knowledge about government procurement procedures (DAP/DPM) and experience in responding to RFP will be added advantage.

- Handle general administration and security requirements of the plant.

- Ability to maintain various statutory compliances of plants as per government policies/ regulations.

- Liaise with superior to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals

- Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements

- Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction

- Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability

- Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors

Desired Qualities:

- Proven experience as Head of Operations or equivalent position

- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

- Outstanding communication and people skills

- Knowledge of industrys legal rules and guidelines

- In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)

- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics

- Familiar with Safety & Security Systems and should have knowledge on OSHA Standard

- Should have knowledge on Compliance related to Defence Manual for a Defence Sector Organizations

- Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, SAP)
