Head of Operations - West Region (Last Mile)

We are hiring a senior operations leader to head Last-Mile Logistics Operations for West India for a fast-scaling, tech-driven logistics platform. This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, managing large on-ground teams, scaling regional operations, and ensuring superior service delivery across multiple cities and states.

The position requires a hands-on leader who can balance execution, people leadership, process compliance, and business growth, while acting as a strong cultural ambassador for the organization.

It's a high-impact leadership opportunity to own and scale last-mile operations with direct visibility and influence on service excellence, customer experience, and regional business growth.

Please Note: Candidates with experience in logistics, e-commerce, quick or hyperlocal delivery platforms, and a proven track record of managing large, multi-state operations are preferred; exposure to tech-driven or startup environments will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee end-to-end last-mile operations across assigned states in West India.

- Own operational performance across multiple hubs / operating units and drive continuous improvement

- Guide, mentor, and review performance of regional and city-level operations leaders

- Analyse operational metrics, productivity data, and forecasts to drive capacity planning and expansion decisions

- Ensure strong process adherence, compliance, and zero tolerance for operational discrepancies on ground

- Act as an escalation point for critical operational issues and resolve them in coordination with regional stakeholders

- Partner closely with Sales teams to support volume growth and ensure operational readiness for demand spikes

- Own regional budgets, cost controls, and productivity targets

- Work closely with HR and Talent teams on manpower planning, hiring, and workforce productivity

- Serve as a culture and values champion, driving high standards of service and execution excellence across the region

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong experience in Last-Mile / Hyperlocal / Logistics Operations at a regional or multi-city level

- Proven expertise in operations scaling, workforce management, and cost optimization

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and drive actionable insights

- High ownership mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

- Demonstrated people leadership experience managing large on-ground and managerial teams

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, execution-focused environment
