Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline. MBA/PG qualification in Operations, Supply Chain or Business Management is preferred.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a senior Head - Operations to lead overall manufacturing operations in a diversified machine-building and make-to-order manufacturing environment. The role will be responsible for driving end-to-end manufacturing performance across Machining, Fabrication and Assembly, while ensuring alignment between capacity, materials, equipment, manpower, engineering readiness and customer commitments.

The incumbent will drive operational discipline, delivery performance, productivity, quality, cost efficiency and continuous improvement across the manufacturing function.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead overall Operations and manufacturing performance across Machining, Fabrication and Assembly.

- Translate business requirements into manufacturing capacity, manpower, equipment, tooling, maintenance and operating-cost requirements.

- Drive AOP and budget management for Operations.

- Ensure effective PPC and production planning based on drawings, BOMs, material availability, capacity, manpower and tooling.

- Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks and drive recovery actions to achieve OTIF and production targets.

- Provide direction to SCM, PPC, Purchase, Stores, Warehouse and Logistics to ensure material readiness.

- Lead Maintenance, Utilities and Tool Room to ensure equipment reliability and availability.

- Drive manufacturing quality and QMS performance and address recurring quality issues.

- Improve manufacturing productivity, lead time, resource utilization and cost effectiveness.

- Work closely with Design & NPD on engineering readiness, manufacturability, new products and engineering changes.

- Partner with Sales & Marketing to align manufacturing capability with customer commitments.

- Build a strong Operations leadership team and develop capability across key functions.

Preferred Industry Background:

- Candidates from machine-building, capital equipment, industrial machinery, heavy engineering, construction equipment, material-handling equipment or other engineered manufacturing environments would be relevant.

- Exposure to stone-processing machinery, cranes, sheet-metal machinery or related industrial equipment would be an advantage.
