Head - Operations - Distilleries & Ferro Alloys

Role Purpose:

Lead end-to-end operations across the distilleries, blending units and Ferro Alloy plants in Africa, ensuring flawless and cost-effective execution across manufacturing, distribution and sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead operational performance across ENA, blending plants and Ferro Alloy manufacturing entities.

- Drive quality, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.

- Own demand planning, S&OP, production planning and inventory management.

- Integrate manufacturing with warehousing, logistics and distribution to improve customer service and product availability.

- Establish common operating standards, KPIs and performance-management routines across plants.

- Oversee waste management, effluent handling, environmental compliance and reduction of production waste and losses across all operating units.

- Develop strong plant leadership teams and build capability across the region.

- Spend significant time on the ground at operating sites, identifying issues and ensuring execution.

- EXTENSIVE TRAVEL REQUIRED.

Candidate Profile:

- 15+ years in manufacturing, operations or supply-chain leadership.

- Strong experience in spirits, beverages, FMCG, food or process manufacturing.

- Experience managing multiple plants, countries or regional operations.

- Strong understanding of distillation/blending, manufacturing, demand planning, logistics and distribution.

- Proven ability to improve plant performance and build scalable operating systems.

- Hands-on, highly analytical and comfortable operating in challenging environments.

- Africa experience strongly preferred.
