Head Operations (D2C & Marketplaces)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Head Operations to lead the end-to-end operations function for a fast-growing D2C consumer brand. This role will own the complete supply chain from first mile to last mile, ensuring seamless execution across procurement, demand planning, warehousing, logistics, fulfilment and marketplace operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in D2C operations, marketplace fulfilment and managing third-party logistics partners in a high-growth, process-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the end-to-end operations function across D2C and marketplace channels.

- Manage the complete supply chain from first mile to last mile, ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

- Lead demand planning and inventory planning to optimize stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.

- Drive warehouse operations, logistics and order fulfilment through internal teams and external partners.

- Manage relationships with 3PL partners, logistics providers and warehousing partners to ensure service excellence.

- Oversee marketplace operations, ensuring seamless order processing, fulfilment, inventory availability and SLA adherence.

- Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, finance, sales and marketplace teams to ensure smooth business operations.

- Develop and improve SOPs, operational processes and performance metrics to support business scale.

- Monitor key operational KPIs including OTIF, fill rates, inventory accuracy, order fulfilment timelines and logistics costs.

- Drive continuous process improvement and operational excellence across the business.

Ideal Candidate:

- 57 years of experience in Operations and Supply Chain.

6. Marketplace Operations (Amazon, Flipkart and Quick Commerce platforms)

- Experience managing operations for an owned manufacturing setup (coordination with manufacturing teams; direct plant management is not required).

- Proven experience working with external logistics, fulfilment and warehousing partners.

- Strong analytical and process improvement mindset.

- Comfortable working in high-growth, startup environments with structured processes.

Organization Structure:

Manufacturing plant: ~75 employees (plant operations are not part of this role).

Warehouse: ~50 employees.

This role will work closely with manufacturing while owning all downstream operations, fulfilment and marketplace execution.
