Position Objective

To meet our expanding Asset Management business, we are actively seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Head - Operations, PMS/AIF. The core responsibility of this role is to effectively translate company strategies into tangible daily operations, ensuring seamless alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the CEO in driving the company's vision through seamless operations and overall business strategy.

- Oversee the entire back office & middle office operations as well as Investor Service function.

- Oversee the business compliance function for the asset management business.

- Lead a young team of 8+ people in the above functional areas.

- Spearhead the resources planning for the above functional considering the ambitious plans for the business.

- Manage the above function as a cost centre and deliver end-to-end results within a competitive cost structure while ensuring top quality in all the above.

- Manage all vendors/counterparties associated with the above functions.

- Responsible for structuring new products from a regulatory/compliance perspective.

- Liaise with auditors and the Finance/Secretarial department of Spark as well as be responsible for the IT systems/continuity of operations.

- Engage with overseas counterparties for supporting business development and proactively manage all operational requirements thereof (including new initiatives such as GIFT city initiatives, new AIFs etc).

- Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations, and take appropriate action when necessary.

- Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement.

- Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, internal and external stakeholders.

Location

The position will be based in Chennai, and we are open to engaging with local candidates and any candidate willing to relocate to Chennai.

Reporting Line: The candidate will report to the Group COO .

Person Specifications

- 18+ years of experience in a Mutual Fund / AMC industry in executive leadership roles.

- Must have contributed to the growth journey of an organization that has successfully scaled up its operations.

- Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve, robust value system and strong cultural fit.

- Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues.

- Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.

- Should have led a team of 8-10 people.
