Head - Operations & Supply Chain

We have an urgent job opening for Head Operations & Supply chain with Packaging industry company.

Location : Bangalore

Role Objective:

- The Operations & Supply Chain Head will lead production and delivery teams to ensure timely fulfillment of all customer orders with uncompromising quality.

- The role is responsible for designing and executing capacity and capability plans that enable the company to achieve its annual operating goals. A key focus is building and mentoring a motivated team that consistently delivers high-quality, sustainable packaging solutions, advancing the mission of replacing plastics across industries.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Build capacity and capability to achieve the annual operating plan targets of production and costs

2. Lead the operations and supply chain team in fulfilling all customer orders on time and in full without compromising on customer specifications.

3. Define and drive an operations excellence program that drives continuous improvement in procurement, manufacturing, warehousing and logistics processes of the business

4. Deliver year on year cost and productivity efficiency across the procurement, manufacturing, warehousing and logistics

5. Design deploy and monitor an operations risk management program to identify and mitigate external as well as internal risks to production and delivery of customer orders

6. Hire and build a team of operations and supply chain professionals who believe in and drive

a. Customer obsession

c. Continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

- Engineering degree from a tier 1 or tier 2 college, preferably in mechanical/ manufacturing/ packaging engineering

- Post graduate degree/diploma in management from a tier 1 or tier 2 college

- Expertise in process improvement methodologies like lean manufacturing, Six sigma

- Experience in deploying Quality Management systems like ISO would be an added advantage

- 4 to 5 years of managing production and supply chain teams, experience in packaging industry preferred but not mandatory

Skills and competencies:

- Team building - hiring, training and motivating high performing team

- Process improvement and / process re engineering skills

- Program management skills - experience of driving and delivering high impact cross functional transformation projects. High level understanding of PERT/CPM method preferred

- Financial literacy - Ability to read, understand and translate financial projections in to actionable operating plan

Success Metrics:

- OTIF > 90% measured across all sales orders logged in each quarter.

- Quality > 95% measured as order rejections plus reworks / total orders fulfilled.

- Gross margin target > 40% across all product portfolio

- Productivity and cost efficiency gains - 15% year on year on the overall ops cost budget

- Legal and HR compliance - 100%
