About the Role:

This is a high impact leadership role reporting directly to the Founder. The individual will be responsible for building and scaling the company's end to end operations function while driving operational excellence, customer experience and profitability. The role offers ownership across warehousing, fulfilment, logistics, inventory management, distribution strategy, operational systems and process excellence. It is a business critical position with significant influence on the company's ability to scale efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Distribution & Network Strategy:

- Develop and execute the company's long term distribution and fulfilment network strategy.

- Identify opportunities for new warehouses, fulfilment centres and logistics hubs aligned with future business growth.

- Lead the setup and commissioning of new operational facilities.

Warehousing & Inventory Management:

- Drive end to end warehouse operations including inbound, storage, inventory control, picking, packing and dispatch.

- Ensure inventory accuracy while minimizing shrinkage through strong operational controls.

- Continuously improve warehouse productivity, utilisation and operational efficiency.

Ecommerce Fulfilment & Customer Operations:

- Lead fulfilment operations across the company's website and marketplace channels.

- Own key operational metrics including order accuracy, dispatch timelines, service levels and customer experience.

- Ensure seamless execution while maintaining marketplace SLA compliance.

Logistics & Supply Chain:

- Manage logistics partners and transportation operations across the country.

- Improve delivery performance while optimising logistics costs.

- Drive initiatives to reduce reverse logistics, failed deliveries and overall fulfilment costs.

Systems & Process Excellence:

- Lead implementation and optimisation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Order Management Systems (OMS) and operational technology.

- Build reporting dashboards and drive data led decision making.

- Establish scalable processes focused on efficiency, quality and cost optimisation.

Leadership:

- Build, mentor and develop high performing teams across warehousing, fulfilment, logistics and inventory.

- Partner closely with Planning, Finance and cross functional teams to drive operational excellence.

- Build scalable operating processes capable of supporting the company's next phase of growth.

Ideal Candidate:

- 4+ years of experience leading operations, warehousing, fulfilment and logistics within consumer, ecommerce, retail, D2C or third party logistics businesses.

- Demonstrated experience building and scaling warehouses, fulfilment centres or distribution networks from the ground up.

- Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics operations and last mile delivery.

- Experience driving operational KPIs including inventory accuracy, fulfilment efficiency, cost optimisation and customer service.

- Hands on experience with WMS, OMS and operational reporting systems.

- Strong commercial orientation with experience managing operational budgets and performance metrics.

- Proven ability to thrive in a high growth entrepreneurial environment while partnering closely with founders and senior leadership.

- Strong people leadership skills with experience building and scaling high performing operations teams.
