The group is a leading climate tech company in the carbon removal and environmental services sector.

Sector: Environmental Services, Climate-Tech, Carbon Removal (CDR).

Core Technology: Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) - applying basalt dust to agricultural land to accelerate natural CO_2 absorption and improve soil.

Dual Impact: Removes carbon from the atmosphere while increasing farmer incomes/yields in the Global South.

Key Operations: India (Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, expanding to 3 more states), Zambia (Mukuni Trust), Tanzania.

Role Overview

The Head of Operations - India is responsible for leading, scaling, and optimizing the group's carbon removal and ERW delivery across multiple Indian states. This leader owns India- s operational strategy, quarry and logistics partnerships, field execution, farmer deployment systems, and MRV operational discipline. The role requires someone who can move seamlessly between vendor negotiations, large-scale planning, field operations, financial modeling, and scientific collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

1. National Operations Strategy s Scale-Up

Build and execute the multi-state operations roadmap-covering sourcing, logistics, field deployment, and data workflows. Drive annual carbon removal targets and long-term operational expansion plans. Identify high-potential geographies, build state-level playbooks, and ensure region-specific operational design.

2. Implement KPI systems, dashboards, and operational governance across all levels. Quarry, Supply Chain s Vendor Partnerships ownership

3. Own relationships with quarry partners, crushers, processors, and logistics vendors.

Ensure basalt quality, volume assurance, cost efficiency, and redundancy across suppliers.

4. Negotiate long-term sourcing agreements and optimize end-to-end supply chain reliability.

Build robust safety, QA/QC, and compliance standards.

5. Field Execution G Project Delivery

Lead large-scale farmer deployment programs across states; oversee capacity planning and application scheduling.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

- 10-15 plus years in fast-growth, operations-heavy environments (agriculture, logistics, supply chain, FMCG, climate-tech, mobility, or manufacturing).

- Proven experience running large-scale, multi-state operations in India.

- Track record of building high-performing teams and delivering operational targets.

- Experience in environments requiring deep field execution, vendor management, and system building.
