Procurement (HOD)

Location: Pune

Experience: 12 to 18 Years

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager (HOD) to lead end-to-end procurement operations.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in surface finishing, electroplating plants, and MS structures, along with strong commercial acumen and vendor management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage end-to-end purchase activities including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals

- Handle procurement for surface finishing & electroplating plant requirements

- Source and manage materials related to MS (Mild Steel) structures and engineering components

- Drive cost optimization / total cost management (TCO) initiatives

- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and coordination

- Identify and onboard new suppliers to improve cost, quality, and delivery

- Monitor procurement KPIs, budgets, and compliance standards

- Ensure timely availability of materials to support operations and projects

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (production, engineering, finance)

- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong domain knowledge in Surface Finishing / Electroplating Industry

- Expertise in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

- Experience with MS structures procurement

- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills

- Strategic sourcing and contract management expertise

- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities

- Leadership and team management skills

- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- 12+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role

- Prior experience in electroplating / surface finishing / engineering manufacturing industry

- Proven track record of cost savings and process improvements
