Job Details:
- Design and launch structured ocean products for key destinations (Latin America, USA, Mexico, Caribbean, West Africa, Middle East) with clear USPs beyond freight rate.
Negotiate annual / long-term contracts with carriers for:
- Competitive freight rates
- Superior credit period
- Favourable non-freight terms (free days, demurrage/detention waivers, slot guarantees, priority equipment, rolling priority)
- HQ-level overrides and special deals
- Build and maintain C-level / HQ relationships with carriers globally.
- Conduct deep trade-lane profitability analysis, yield management and contribution modelling.
- Work closely with Pricing, Space Control and Sales teams to ensure 100% contract adherence and maximum uplift.
- Guide and mentor sales teams with strategic account planning instead of transactional selling.
- Represent company in carrier performance reviews, global tenders and industry forums.
- Identify and launch value-added services (pre-carriage, customs, door delivery, cargo insurance) bundled into the ocean product to increase wallet share per container.
