
Overview:

- This role owns the end-to-end efficiency, compliance, and scalability of all non-clinical functions within the hospital. The mandate is simple: ensure the hospital runs like a high-performing, cost-efficient, patient-centric system outside of clinical care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership
- Drive overall hospital operations across facilities, administration, front office, housekeeping, security, biomedical, and support services
- Ensure seamless day-to-day functioning with zero tolerance for operational breakdowns
- Build SOPs, enforce discipline, and create measurable service benchmarks
2. Patient Experience & Service Quality
- Own patient journey outside clinical care-admissions, billing, discharge, grievance handling
- Improve turnaround times, reduce friction points, and elevate service standards
- Track and act on patient feedback and satisfaction metrics
3. Vendor & Facility Management
- Manage all external vendors (facility, housekeeping, security, equipment, etc.)
- Drive cost optimization without compromising service quality
- Ensure infrastructure readiness, maintenance, and uptime of all non-clinical assets
4. Financial & Cost Control
- Own non-clinical P&L levers-cost management, budgeting, and efficiency improvements
- Identify leakages and drive cost rationalization initiatives
- Ensure billing accuracy, process adherence, and revenue support
5. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory, statutory, and accreditation requirements (NABH, etc.)
- Drive audits, documentation, and process compliance across departments
- Mitigate operational risks and ensure safety standards
6. Team Leadership
- Lead and build high-performing cross-functional teams
- Drive accountability, performance metrics, and a culture of ownership
- Hire, train, and develop second-line leadership
Must Have:
- 12-18 years in hospital operations / healthcare administration
- Strong exposure to multi-specialty hospitals or large healthcare setups
- Proven ability to manage scale, complexity, and cross-functional teams
- Deep understanding of hospital workflows, compliance, and patient experience
- High ownership mindset with a bias for execution
