We are seeking an energetic Head of NPD for our client, a fast-growing FMCG brand based in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of experience in New Product Development (NPD), team leadership, and successful product launches. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of market trends, consumer insights, and innovation processes to drive the development of high-quality, market-ready products. Location: Bengaluru Working Days: 5.5 (Alternate Saturday working) Key Responsibilities: - Product Development: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept to commercialization, ensuring that offerings align with market trends and consumer preferences. - Market Insights & Analysis: Utilize market research and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and ensure products meet diverse customer needs. - Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations to optimize product positioning, streamline launches, and improve manufacturing efficiency. - Financial Oversight: Manage NPD budgets, evaluate product profitability, and track key post-launch metrics to ensure commercial success. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. - 7+ years of experience in food product development, with a strong track record of launching successful commercial products. - In-depth knowledge of food science, manufacturing processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. - Proven ability to lead teams, collaborate cross-functionally, drive strategic initiatives, and manage change effectively. - Ability to identify market gaps and translate them into commercially viable products.
