Description: The Head - Modular Kitchen Business will own the end-to-end P&L, driving lead
generation, design conversion, execution excellence, and profitability across cities. This role requires a builder-operator who understands that modular kitchens are not a category - they are a project business involving sales, design, project management, vendor coordination, and customer trust.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Ownership & P&L:
- Define annual and quarterly revenue, margin, and order intake targets.
- Drive predictable growth through:
- Higher lead conversion
- Stronger ticket sizes
- Reduced execution leakages
- Monitor CAC, discounting, cancellations, and cost overruns closely.
2. Lead Generation & Conversion (Stores + Digital):
- Increase store-originated leads
- Improve quality of walk-in to design consultations
- Build and optimize the lead-to-closure funnel:
- Lead design revision booking execution
- Define SOPs to reduce lead drop-offs and increase closure rates.
3. Design, Sales & Customer Experience:
- Ensure designers are trained on:
- Layout planning
- Product knowledge
- Cost engineering
- Customer objection handling
- Drive premium yet value-conscious designs aligned with the brand.
- Ensure strong customer communication throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Project Execution & Delivery:
- Coordinate with:
- Factory / vendors
- Installers
- Site supervisors
- Ensure:
- On-time delivery
- Quality adherence
- Minimal rework
- Set up strong escalation and issue-resolution mechanisms.
5. Vendor, Supply Chain & Cost Management:
- Identify and manage manufacturing partners, hardware suppliers, and installers.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to ensure margin protection.
- Standardize modules, finishes, and accessories to control complexity and cost.
- Reduce dependency on bespoke elements without compromising design quality.
6. SOPs, Governance & Scale:
- Sales & design
- Project execution
- Vendor coordination
- Billing & collections
- Build dashboards tracking:
- Lead conversion
- Project timelines
- Gross margins
- Customer satisfaction
- Scale the business across multiple stores and cities with consistency.
7. Team Leadership & Capability Building:
- Designers
- Project managers
- Site supervisors
- Drive recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Create incentive structures aligned to closure quality, margins, and delivery timelines.
Key Skills & Experience:
Must-Have:
- 1018 years of experience in modular kitchens / interiors / project-based retail
- Proven experience running P&L ownership
- Strong understanding of:
- Kitchen design & layouts
- Execution workflows
- Vendor and installer management
- Experience scaling modular kitchen operations across multiple cities
- Strong commercial and operational judgment
Good to Have:
- Exposure to tech-enabled lead management or CRM systems
- Experience in turnaround or growth-stage businesses
