Head Modern Trade
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat (Head Office preferred; relocation welcome)
Compensation: CTC Based on experience and capabilities)

Role Overview
Lead the clients Modern Trade division own strategy, operations, partnerships, and P&L. Build deep relationships in modern trade ecosystems and optimize backend processes.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Leadership:
- Strategy Execution Operations Team management (50+ staff)
Key Account Management:
- Own national/regional chains (e.g., Reliance, DMart, Spencers); manage stockists & distributors
Backend & Operations:
- Oversee supply chain, order processing, billing, claims, ERP, credit notes, stock hygiene
Sales Growth:
- Drive revenue via strategic tie-ups, new accounts, fill-rate improvement; design promotions & visibility programs
Analytics & Insights:
- Analyze sales data, market trends, competitor activity to guide decisions
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with logistics, finance, commercial, and marketing teams to enhance efficiency and profitability
Ideal Candidate
- Experience: 10+ years in FMCG/beverages/dairy/pharma, with 5 years in Modern Trade leadership
- Network: Strong relationships with retailers, stockists, and MT chains
- Expertise: Thorough knowledge of MT processes billing, ERP, schemes, claims
- Skills: Leadership, negotiation, communication, analytical mindset
- Mindset: Entrepreneurial, full accountability, P&L ownership
Education
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or Business Management preferred
