Role Overview:

Seeking a senior mining leader to drive enterprise-wide critical and strategic minerals strategy across a diversified, multi-commodity portfolio. The role bridges long-term strategic planning and operational execution, ensuring disciplined capital allocation and sustainable growth from resource acquisition to first production.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Define and execute long-term mineral strategy roadmap

- Drive board-level strategic alignment and capital approvals

- Lead strategy-to-operations integration across the project lifecycle

- Develop commodity outlooks and scenario-based roadmaps

- Build and lead a high-performing expert team.

Exploration & Asset Acquisition:

- Lead identification, evaluation, and acquisition of mineral assets

- Oversee end-to-end project journey (exploration feasibility production)

- Direct asset valuation, due diligence, and M&A structuring

- Drive value across Copper, Bauxite, Iron Ore, Rare Earth Elements & Base Metals

Capital Investment & Project Execution:

- Oversee capital planning and project prioritization

- Ensure strong governance and investment discipline

- Drive performance from feasibility to commissioning

- Align technical, operational & financial KPIs

Stakeholder & Market Leadership:

- Engage with Board, regulators, JVs, and financial institutions

- Integrate ESG into mineral strategy

- Monitor global commodity markets, geopolitical risks & competition (benchmarking with BHP, Rio Tinto, Glencore, Vale, Anglo American)

Experience (18-20+ Years):

- Mining M&A and Corporate Strategy

- Leadership within major mining houses (e.g., Vedanta Limited, Hindustan Zinc Limited, Hindalco Industries, Teck Resources, Alcoa, Codelco)

- Proven greenfield project leadership

- Multi-commodity portfolio expertise

Education:

- Degree in Mining Engineering / Geology (preferred)

- MBA (preferred)
