Head - Middleware Engineering - Financial Services

About the Role:

A leading financial services organization is looking for a Head Middleware to lead the architecture, governance, and operational stability of enterprise middleware platforms. The role will own API management, messaging platforms, enterprise integrations, and middleware security supporting critical banking and financial applications. The incumbent will ensure scalable, secure, and highly available integration platforms while working closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the enterprise middleware architecture roadmap and platform strategy.

- Lead API management, messaging infrastructure, and microservices integration.

- Drive middleware delivery across core business applications and third-party integrations.

- Ensure platform availability, performance, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.

- Define middleware governance, security, access controls, and audit frameworks.

- Collaborate with technology, product, risk, and external vendors to deliver scalable integration solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 915 years of experience in middleware, enterprise integration, or platform engineering.

- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, and Kafka or equivalent messaging platforms.

- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Fintech, or Payments environments.

- Exposure to API gateways, cloud-native platforms, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and enterprise integration tools.

- Proven experience building secure, scalable, high-availability middleware platforms.

- Willing to work onsite from Manesar.
