Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and annual business plans to achieve MICE revenue and profitability targets.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the MICE sales team to achieve individual and collective goals.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand MICE clientele.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and event teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, PCOs (Professional Conference Organizers), and event planners.
- Prospect and convert new business leads into long-term partnerships for conferences, incentives, exhibitions, and meetings.
- Conduct client presentations, site inspections, and negotiations to close high-value deals.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and proposal creation to contract finalization and post-event evaluation.
Revenue Management & Forecasting
- Develop pricing strategies, proposals, and packages tailored to client needs while ensuring profitability.
- Monitor sales performance against budgets and forecasts, implementing corrective actions as required.
- Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to optimize revenue streams and resource utilization.
- Ensure effective use of CRM systems to track pipeline, client interactions, and conversion rates.
Collaboration & Event Coordination
- Work closely with event management and operations teams to ensure flawless execution of MICE programs.
- Coordinate logistics, event production, and vendor partnerships to deliver superior client experiences.
- Support the creation of marketing materials, promotional campaigns, and digital initiatives for MICE business.
Market Intelligence & Relationship Management
- Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the MICE sector.
- Represent the organization at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to promote the brand.
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business through personalized engagement and after-event follow-ups.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- (MBA preferred).
- 10 to 15 years of experience in MICE sales or corporate event management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in B2B corporate sales, key account management, and event business acquisition.
- Strong understanding of MICE operations, venue selection, travel logistics, and budgeting.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office Suite, and event management software.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and team management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in hospitality chains, destination management companies (DMCs), or event management firms.
- Knowledge of international MICE markets and global business travel trends.
- Exposure to digital and hybrid event technologies.
