Head Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Strategy

Location: Pune

Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO

Function: Strategy & Corporate Development

Experience Required: 15+ years with at least 10 years in leading M&A (preferably in manufacturing/automotive)

Job Purpose:

Lead identification, evaluation, execution, and integration of acquisitions, JVs, divestitures, and partnerships to drive growth in areas like product diversification, geographic expansion, EV/clean tech, and global OEM alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and execute inorganic growth strategy aligned with long-term business goals.

- Source and evaluate M&A/JV opportunities; lead financial modeling, due diligence, and deal structuring.

- Manage negotiations, approvals, and end-to-end transaction execution.

- Oversee post-merger integration, synergy realization, and KPI tracking.

- Provide market intelligence on industry trends, EV adoption, regulatory shifts, and competitor moves.

Qualifications & Skills:

- MBA/PGDM from Tier-1 institute; engineering background preferred.

- 15+ years experience with 5 to 7 years in M&A/corporate development/investment banking in manufacturing/automotive.

- Proven track record in cross-border deals and integration planning.

- Strong financial valuation, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
