Role Overview:
As the Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, you will serve as the strategic architect for the organization's inorganic growth initiatives, leading the end-to-end lifecycle of complex transactions. You will work closely with the Board of Directors, C-suite executives, and external investment banking partners to identify, evaluate, and execute high-impact deals that align with the company's long-term vision. This role is pivotal in shaping the competitive landscape of the business, ensuring that every acquisition or partnership delivers measurable value, operational synergies, and sustainable market expansion. Based in Gurgaon, you will lead a high-performing team to navigate the intricacies of the deal-making environment, directly influencing the company's trajectory and shareholder value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the entire M&A lifecycle, from initial target identification and screening to final integration, to ensure all transactions support the company's strategic growth objectives.
- Direct complex financial modeling and valuation exercises to provide the leadership team with data-backed insights for informed investment decision-making.
- Manage cross-functional due diligence processes, coordinating with legal, tax, and operational teams to mitigate risks and uncover hidden value in potential targets.
- Negotiate deal structures, including purchase agreements and earn-out provisions, to protect the company's interests and ensure favorable terms.
- Oversee post-merger integration efforts to ensure that synergies are realized and that the acquired entities are seamlessly aligned with the broader corporate culture and operational framework.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in executing complex M&A transactions, with a deep understanding of valuation methodologies, deal structuring, and transaction advisory frameworks.
- Proven ability to translate corporate strategy into actionable investment opportunities, balancing risk appetite with aggressive growth targets.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence C-suite leadership and negotiate effectively with external partners and legal counsel.
- Strong analytical rigor in financial analysis and market research, capable of synthesizing vast amounts of data into clear, executive-level recommendations.
- A postgraduate degree in Management or Finance from a premier institute, complemented by 15 - 18 years of progressive experience in corporate development or investment banking.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Gurgaon, maintaining high levels of professional agility and leadership presence.
