The Head of Licensed Brands is responsible for developing and executing the strategic direction of licensed brands to drive revenue growth, market penetration, and brand equity. This role involves managing partnerships with licensors, ensuring brand consistency, and identifying new opportunities for brand expansion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of brand licensing, consumer trends, and market dynamics to create impactful brand strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Market Analysis:
- Develop and implement the overall licensed brand strategy aligned with the companys business objectives.
- Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify new licensing opportunities and expansion areas.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Develop financial models and forecasts to assess the impact of licensing initiatives.
Partnership Management & Negotiations:
- Identify and negotiate licensing agreements with global and regional brand partners.
- Build and manage strong relationships with licensors, ensuring compliance with brand
guidelines and contractual obligations.
- Oversee licensing agreements and ensure alignment with business goals.
Brand Integration & Execution:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure seamless brand integration.
- Lead go-to-market strategies for new licensed products, ensuring successful launches and brand positioning.
- Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints and channels.
Performance Monitoring & Compliance:
- Oversee the performance of licensed brands, analyzing sales data, consumer insights, and competitive benchmarks to optimize strategies.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to licensing agreements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Brand Management, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in brand licensing, brand strategy, or related roles within retail, entertainment, fashion, or consumer goods industries.
- Proven experience in negotiating and managing licensing agreements.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to interpret market data.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaborative efforts.
- Experience working with global brands and understanding international licensing landscapes is a plus.
