Head - MEP Projects - Infrastructure/Construction

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Head - MEP Projects to lead the execution and delivery of large-scale MEP projects across the African region. The role will be responsible for overall project leadership, execution, stakeholder management, commercial coordination, and delivery from planning through completion.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing MEP projects in Africa and a deep understanding of the regional construction market, geography, contractors, and project execution environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee large-scale MEP projects from planning and mobilization through execution and completion.

- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, quality, and delivery timelines.

- Provide strategic and operational leadership to project teams across multiple locations.

- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and drive timely resolution of critical issues.

- Ensure projects are delivered in line with quality, safety, cost, and contractual requirements.

- Review project plans, execution strategies, resource requirements, and commercial aspects.

- Drive coordination across Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and other MEP disciplines.

- Manage project reporting, governance, reviews, and escalation mechanisms.

- Support project teams in resolving technical, execution, commercial, and stakeholder challenges.

- Travel to Africa as required to oversee project execution and engage with key stakeholders.

Required Skills:

- 15 - 25 years of overall experience in project execution and management.

- Strong experience in MEP project delivery and execution in Africa - mandatory.

- Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects from execution to completion.

- Strong exposure to projects such as Data Centres, Airports, Metro, Commercial, or large infrastructure projects.

- Strong understanding of Africa's construction market, geography, contractors, and project execution environment.

- Strong leadership, project management, stakeholder management, and commercial understanding.

- B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
