Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Head Materials Management to lead the organizations end-to-end procurement, strategic sourcing, materials management, and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, Chlor-Alkali, Fertilizer, Refinery, or other process industries, with strong expertise in strategic procurement, vendor management, cost optimization, inventory management, and SAP/ERP-driven materials processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall Procurement & Materials Management function and develop strategic sourcing plans aligned with business objectives.
- Drive strategic procurement, supplier development, sourcing, negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure timely and uninterrupted availability of raw materials, chemicals, consumables, spares, and engineering items.
- Develop and manage strategic vendor relationships, including supplier evaluation, performance management, contracts, and negotiations.
- Optimize inventory levels, working capital, procurement costs, and supply chain efficiency.
- Develop alternate sources and mitigate supply risks for critical materials.
- Establish procurement policies, processes, controls, and governance mechanisms.
- Drive procurement digitalization and process automation initiatives.
- Leverage SAP/ERP, SRM, MIS, analytics, and procurement systems to improve visibility and decision-making.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic procurement, sourcing and cost optimization.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiations and contracts.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, chemicals and engineering items.
- Drive inventory, supply chain and working capital optimization.
- Lead procurement digitalization, SAP/SRM, MIS and process improvements.
- Develop and mentor the Materials & Procurement team.
