Head - Material Management/Supply Chain Management - Manufacturing

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Materials Management and Supply Chain to lead our end-to-end supply chain operations based in Goa. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of materials, from procurement and strategic sourcing to logistics and inventory optimization. You will work closely with the executive leadership team, production heads, and global vendors to ensure seamless operational continuity. Your impact will be direct and measurable, as you will be responsible for driving cost efficiencies, mitigating supply chain risks, and ensuring that our production requirements are met with precision, ultimately strengthening our competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Formulate and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with organizational growth objectives to ensure long-term operational stability.

- Direct the end-to-end procurement process, including strategic sourcing and contract management, to secure high-quality materials at optimal cost structures.

- Oversee complex import and export operations, ensuring full regulatory compliance and seamless cross-border movement of goods.

- Optimize inventory management systems to balance working capital requirements with the need for high service levels across all production lines.

- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement in logistics and vendor performance.

- Leverage ERP systems to drive data-backed decision-making, providing real-time visibility into supply chain health and performance metrics.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale supply chain ecosystems, with a proven ability to navigate complex global logistics and trade regulations.

- Exceptional negotiation and vendor management skills, capable of building and maintaining long-term strategic partnerships that provide a competitive advantage.

- Advanced proficiency in ERP platforms and supply chain analytics, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment between procurement, production, and finance departments.

- A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to problem-solving, essential for managing operations in a dynamic, on-site manufacturing environment in Goa.

- An MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree from a premier institute, complemented by 15-20 years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership roles.
