About the Role:
Join us as the head of international formulations marketing, leading strategy and execution across regulated, semiregulated, and emerging markets. You will define market entry plans, drive portfolio and brand growth, and translate global regulatory, pricing, and distribution frameworks into practical commercial actions. Close collaboration with International Sales, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and R&D will be essential to ensure compliance, optimize profitability, and build strong, longterm relationships with distributors and institutional customers.
Key Responsibilities:
International Marketing Strategy & Business Growth:
- Develop regional marketing strategies and annual business plans aligned to countryspecific goals and product portfolio priorities.
- Identify and evaluate new market entry opportunities, licensing options, and partnerships.
- Drive portfolio expansion across dosage forms and therapeutic segments.
- Establish pricing frameworks considering market dynamics, reimbursement policies, and competition.
Market Development & Partner Management:
- Build and strengthen strategic relationships with distributors, agents, and institutional buyers.
- Support commercial negotiations, supply agreements, and business development discussions.
- Oversee promotional strategy adaptation for different regions.
- Ensure brand consistency and compliance across international markets.
Market Intelligence & Portfolio Analytics:
- Track global competitive landscape, regulatory shifts, and therapeutic trends.
- Provide insights to inform product registrations, launch sequencing, and portfolio prioritization.
- Maintain a global marketing intelligence database covering pricing, competitor activity, and demand trends.
Demand Planning & Sales Forecasting:
- Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive accuracy in demand planning.
- Monitor monthly performance against plans and coordinate corrective actions.
- Optimize production planning to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
Regulatory & Compliance Alignment:
- Ensure all marketing activities adhere to international regulatory and promotional standards.
- Coordinate with regulatory teams for labeling, dossier updates, and new market filings.
- Champion ethical marketing practices in all international engagements.
Brand & Digital Engagement:
- Lead digital marketing and content strategies tailored for B2B partners, healthcare professionals, and institutional customers.
- Drive participation in international exhibitions, medical conferences, and trade fairs.
- Develop digital marketing assets aligned to global branding.
People & Team Management:
- Build, lead, and motivate a highperforming marketing and BD team.
- Set performance goals and conduct periodic reviews.
- Identify training needs and support capability development.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Key Interactions:
Internal: Operations, R&D, QA & RA, Finance External: Customers & Distributors, Contract Manufacturing, Industry Associations, Regulatory Authorities
Requirements:
Education: MBA/PGDM in Marketing or International Business; B.Pharm/M.Pharm or related field.
Experience: 15-20 years in pharmaceutical marketing with exposure to regulated international markets. Proven track record in formulation sales, pricing, and business development.
Skills: Strong leadership, global customer relationship management, portfolio strategy, and compliance alignment.
