Role Overview
The client is looking for a hands-on Head of Marketing to lead the next phase of growth. This role will own the complete marketing charter-from brand and communication to digital growth and performance. The leader will play a pivotal role in city and category expansion, with marketing being the primary growth lever in 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand & Communications
- Own and evolve the brand narrative, positioning, and voice across all touchpoints.
- Lead integrated brand, content, and communication strategy across digital and offline channels.
- Build long-term brand equity while supporting short-term growth objectives.
- Growth & Performance Marketing
- Design and execute a digital-first growth strategy covering acquisition, retention, engagement, and lifecycle marketing.
- Scale performance marketing across channels (paid, organic, partnerships, CRM, retention).
- Establish strong experimentation frameworks, cohort analysis, and ROI-led decision making.
Business Scaling & Expansion
- Partner with leadership on city and category expansion, ensuring marketing plays a central role in demand creation.
- Support scale from 3K-3.5K SKUs with category-led marketing strategies.
- Build scalable marketing systems that can support rapid growth.
- Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and mentor a growing marketing team (currently 8 members, expanding further).
- Build high-ownership culture with strong execution rigor.
- Hire, structure, and develop future-ready marketing capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Translate business priorities into actionable marketing roadmaps.
- Be deeply embedded in execution-not a slide-only leadership role.
Candidate Profile
Must-Have
- 12+ years of experience in consumer technology / new-age startups.
- Prior experience scaling 0-to-1 or early-stage journeys (ideally more than once).
- Deep expertise in branding, communications, planning, and performance marketing.
- Proven ability to build and scale a digital presence from the ground up.
- Blend of strategic planning and hands-on, execution track record.
- Strong leadership presence with startup agility.
Good to Have
- FMCG or agency experience (adds depth to brand and consumer thinking).
- Experience working in high-growth, fast-scaling environments.
