Description:


Our client is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Marketing to lead the marketing function for a fast-growing non-food FMCG brand based in Gurgaon. This role will be responsible for building the brand, driving consumer demand, strengthening market presence, and delivering business growth through innovative and insight-led marketing strategies.

The ideal candidate should bring strong experience in brand marketing within the FMCG/non-food category, along with a deep understanding of consumer behavior, category development, innovation, media planning, and go-to-market execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy & Management:

- Develop and lead the overall brand and marketing strategy in line with business goals.

- Drive brand positioning, communication, and equity building across channels.

- Own the brand architecture, portfolio strategy, and long-term growth roadmap.


- Ensure consistency in brand messaging and identity across all consumer touchpoints.

Consumer & Market Understanding:

- Leverage consumer insights, market data, and competitive intelligence to identify growth

opportunities.

- Track category trends, customer preferences, and market shifts to refine brand strategy.

- Translate consumer understanding into effective campaigns, innovations, and activation plans.

Marketing Planning & Execution:

- Lead annual marketing calendar planning and execution across ATL, BTL, digital, and trade channels.

- Design and implement impactful campaigns to drive awareness, trial, repeat, and loyalty.

- Partner with creative, media, digital, and research agencies to deliver strong execution.

- Monitor campaign effectiveness and optimize spends for maximum ROI.

Innovation & Product Development:

- Work closely with product, sales, and leadership teams to identify whitespace opportunities and support new product development.

- Drive concept creation, packaging inputs, launch planning, and commercialization of

innovations.

- Ensure successful go-to-market strategies for new launches and existing portfolio expansion.

Digital & Performance Marketing:

- Build strong digital marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and consumer engagement.

- Drive content, social media, influencer collaborations, and performance-led initiatives where

relevant.

- Use digital analytics and marketing metrics to improve effectiveness and efficiency.


Cross-functional Collaboration:


- Work closely with sales, trade marketing, product, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment between brand objectives and business priorities.

- Support sales teams with consumer promotions, activation plans, and market development

initiatives.

- Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and growth initiatives.

Team Leadership:

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team.

- Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, agility, and consumer-centric thinking.

- Develop team capabilities in brand building, digital marketing, innovation, and execution

excellence.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- MBA in Marketing from a reputed institute preferred.

- 12-18 years of experience in marketing, with a significant part of experience in FMCG/non-food categories.

- Proven track record in brand management, consumer marketing, and category growth.

- Strong understanding of ATL/BTL, digital marketing, consumer insights, and innovation.

- Experience in handling P&L-linked marketing decisions and budget management.

- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and growth-oriented environment.
