Job Title: Head of Marketing

Location: Kolkata (Native / Hometown must be West Bengal)

Department: Marketing

Reports To: Managing Director

Experience: 15+years in Brand Management / Marketing roles, preferably in FMCG, Agri inputs, or Consumer Goods industries

Key Responsibilities:

1. Brand Building & Positioning

- Develop and execute brand plans to strengthen brand equity and recall across target segments.

- Define and maintain the price positioning of key SKUs while ensuring competitiveness and margin health.

- Monitor and enhance the Brand Equity Index (BEI) and market perception across product categories.

2. Marketing Campaigns & Communication

- Lead the development of marketing campaigns across ATL, BTL, and digital platforms.

- Manage creative and media agencies to ensure cohesive and impactful brand messaging.

- Drive consistent digital communication strategies including performance marketing, influencer engagement, and social storytelling.

3. Consumer Insights & Market Understanding

- Lead consumer insight efforts through qualitative and quantitative research.

- Translate consumer behaviour trends into actionable marketing strategies and product tweaks.

- Track competitor activities, market movements, and evolving customer needs.

4. Sales & Consumer Promotions

- Conceptualize and roll out sales promotions and consumer promotions to drive secondary sales, trade engagement, and consumer trials.

- Work closely with the sales team to ensure flawless execution and monitor ROI on promotional campaigns.

5. Portfolio Management & Market Share Growth

- Assist in portfolio strategy to maximize market share and category leadership.

- Support New Product Development and renovation strategies with strong marketing inputs.

- Analyze product performance, SKU-wise contribution, and category growth drivers.

6. Advertising & Promotion Mix

- Own the advertising and promotion mix for the brand(s), balancing short-term activations and long-term brand-building efforts.

- Ensure optimal allocation and utilization of marketing budgets with rigorous tracking of effectiveness.

Desired Profile:

- Strong understanding of brand management, marketing communications, and consumer behaviour.

- Proven ability to deliver growth through innovative marketing campaigns and consumer-centric strategies.

- Hands-on experience in both offline and digital media.

- Excellent project management, cross-functional collaboration, and agency management skills.

- Sharp analytical and creative thinking with attention to detail.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline is mandatory.

- MBA in Marketing from a reputed institute preferred.
