Location: Accra, Ghana

Looking for a high-potential FMCG marketing leader with solid brand building experience in FMCG industry to lead brand building and consumer growth for one of the fastest-growing packaged foods companies in Ghana.

Role Overview

The Head - Marketing (West Africa) will drive end-to-end brand strategy and consumer growth across Ghana and export markets.

The role requires a strong marketer who combines classic FMCG brand-building fundamentals with modern digital and AI-driven marketing capabilities.

Strategic Impact of the Role

- Play a key leadership role in shaping the long-term brand strategy and consumer growth agenda across Ghana and export markets.

- Build and scale strong consumer brands in one of the fastest-growing FMCG markets in Africa.

- Lead the transformation toward digital-first and AI-driven marketing capabilities.

- Drive innovation and new product development to expand the company's presence across packaged food categories.

- Partner with leadership to define future market expansion strategies across West Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Growth

- Lead brand positioning and long-term brand equity building across packaged food categories.

- Drive consumer insight-led marketing strategies to increase brand penetration and market share.

- Lead product launches, innovation pipelines, and category expansion initiatives.

Digital & AI-Led Marketing

- Build and scale digital-first marketing ecosystems across social, performance, and content platforms.

- Implement AI-driven consumer analytics, campaign optimization, and marketing automation.

- Drive data-led marketing decisions and performance measurement frameworks.

Regional Market Expansion

- Develop marketing strategies for Ghana and export markets.

- Identify opportunities for new market development and regional growth.

Integrated Marketing & Campaigns

- Lead the development of ATL, BTL, and digital campaigns.

- Partner with agencies and creative teams to deliver high-impact consumer communication.

Cross-Functional Leadership

- Collaborate closely with sales, product development, supply chain, and leadership teams.

- Build and mentor a high-performing marketing organization.

- Implement data-driven and AI-enabled marketing practices to improve campaign effectiveness and targeting.

- Deliver high-impact integrated marketing campaigns (ATL, BTL, digital) that strengthen brand visibility and drive sales growth.

Experience

- 8-12 years of experience in hardcore FMCG marketing in India.

- Strong exposure to brand management and product launches.

- Experience with leading FMCG companies preferred.

Skills

- Strong understanding of FMCG brand-building fundamentals and consumer marketing.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

- Experience in digital marketing, growth marketing, and consumer analytics.

- Ability to translate consumer insights into impactful marketing strategies.

- Exposure to AI applications in marketing will be an advantage.
