Job Description Head of Marketing


Company: Financial Group


Location: Kolkata


Designation: Head Marketing


Experience: 10-18 years

Role Overview:


We are looking for a highly strategic and innovative Head of Marketing to lead the brand, digital, and growth marketing charter for its expanding financial services ecosystem. The ideal candidate must come with deep experience in fintech or app-based product companies, with a proven track record in digital acquisition, brand building, and user-growth strategy.


This is a leadership role responsible for driving marketing vision, scaling customer acquisition, strengthening brand presence, and enabling product-led growth across digital platforms.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Marketing Strategy & Leadership


- Define and drive the overall marketing vision, brand positioning, and go-to-market strategy.


- Own and execute marketing plans for customer acquisition, retention, engagement, and brand growth.


- Partner closely with leadership to align marketing goals with business strategy.


2. Digital & Growth Marketing (Fintech/App Focus)


- Lead digital acquisition across performance marketing, paid campaigns, SEM/SEO, app growth strategies, and funnel optimization.


- Drive user acquisition, activation, retention, and lifetime value for app-based products.


- Use data-driven insights to improve CAC, ROAS, and user journey metrics.


3. Brand & Communication


- Build and strengthen the brand identity across digital, print, and on-ground channels.


- Oversee creative development, brand storytelling, communications, and PR initiatives.


- Ensure messaging consistency across all touchpoints.


4. Product & Customer Insights


- Work closely with product teams to influence feature development using user insights and behavioral analytics.


- Conduct market intelligence, competitor benchmarking, and category research.


5. Partnerships & Alliances


- Establish partnerships with fintech ecosystems, influencers, digital networks, and industry associations.


- Drive co-marketing and collaborative growth initiatives.


6. Team Building & Leadership


- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing marketing team.


- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Technology, and Customer Success teams.


Required Skills & Competencies:


- Strong experience in fintech, digital apps, or consumer tech platforms is mandatory.


- Deep knowledge of performance marketing, growth loops, app analytics, user funnels, and campaign management.


- Strong storytelling, brand-building, and creative leadership capability.


- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.


- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.


Education


MBA/PGDM in Marketing from Tier-1/Tier-2 institutions preferred.
