Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary to lead revenue growth, customer engagement, brand development, and channel strategy for our diversified fertilizer business, including chemical fertilizers, specialty nutrients, and organic products. This leadership role is pivotal in shaping the companys commercial direction and will play a key part in organizational transformation and value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales & Business Growth:

- Develop and execute a robust sales and marketing strategy across product lines and geographies (rural and agri-markets).

- Drive top-line and bottom-line performance through market penetration, product mix optimization, and pricing strategy.

- Lead national and regional sales teams, institutional business, and B2B partnerships.

Product & Portfolio Management:

- Steer commercialization of new products including bio-stimulants, water-soluble fertilizers, micronutrients, and organic blends.

- Collaborate with R&D and supply chain for product lifecycle management, market fit, and innovation pipeline.

- Monitor competitor activity and guide differentiated value propositions for customers and channel partners.

Brand, Channel & Digital Strategy:

- Build a strong farmer-facing brand and communication strategy, including ATL/BTL campaigns and rural outreach.

- Expand channel networks (dealers, distributors, cooperatives, digital agri platforms) and implement loyalty/retention programs.

- Champion digital transformation in agri-input sales, CRM, farmer education, and analytics-driven decision-making.

Customer & Market Development:

- Foster deep farmer engagement and knowledge-sharing initiatives through field trials, demos, and agri-advisory services.

- Establish sustainable go-to-market models for organic and specialty segments aligned with ESG and regenerative agri practices.

- Represent the company in industry forums, government panels, and public private initiatives for market access and policy advocacy.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Impact:

- Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, finance, and supply chain to ensure customer-centric and cost-effective execution.

- Mentor and develop future leaders across sales, product management, and marketing functions.

- Participate actively in corporate strategic planning, M&A evaluations, and board level business reviews.

Qualifications:

- Education: MBA/PGDM from a reputed institute, preferably with a background in Agri-Business, Marketing, or Science/Agronomy.

Experience:

- 18-25 years of relevant experience in sales and marketing in agri-inputs, fertilizers, or allied sectors.

- Track record of scaling revenues in both traditional and emerging product categories (e.g., specialty/organic).

- Proven leadership in managing large teams, multi-channel strategies, and rural customer bases.

- Knowledge of local language will be beneficial
