Position: Head of Marketing

About the Company:

Our client is a Hyderabad-based Electric Vehicle (EV) startup charging ahead to redefine urban mobility in India. Our mission is to make electric vehicles accessible, desirable, and seamlessly integrated into everyday life through innovative technology and exceptional customer experience. As we prepare for product launch and scaling, we're looking for a marketing leader who can build our brand narrative and drive market conquest.

Position Overview:

The Head of Marketing will be the architect of brand and the driver of demand. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to build brand love, generate qualified leads, and create a category-defining presence for our EV products and ecosystem. You will own the entire marketing mix, from digital to experiential, and build a high-performance team to support rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities:

a) Strategy & Leadership

- Develop and execute the end-to-end marketing strategy aligned with business goals (awareness, launch, demand, retention)

- Build, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary marketing team (digital, content, brand, performance, PR/communications)

- Define and manage the annual marketing budget, ensuring optimal ROI across all channels

- Establish KPIs, analytics frameworks, and reporting systems to measure and optimize campaign performance

b) Brand Building & Launch Management

- Craft a compelling, distinctive brand identity, positioning, and narrative that resonates with Indian consumers and B2B partners

- Lead the go-to-market (GTM) strategy and launch campaign for new products and variants

- Develop a strong visual and verbal identity across all touchpoints

- Build and manage strategic partnerships (influencers, media, sustainability advocates, industry bodies)

c) Demand & Growth Marketing

- Own the customer acquisition funnel - from top-of-funnel awareness to purchase conversion

- Design and execute multi-channel campaigns across digital (SEO/SEM, social media, video, email), performance marketing, and traditional channels

- Build and optimize the website as the central conversion hub

- Develop and manage CRM/lifecycle marketing strategies for lead nurturing and customer retention

d) Content & Communications

- Oversee the creation of high-impact content (video, blogs, reviews, testimonials) that educates and inspires about EV adoption

- Lead PR and communications strategy to build thought leadership and secure high-value media coverage

- Manage crisis communication and protect brand reputation.

e) Local & Community Marketing

- Develop hyper-local marketing strategies for Hyderabad and other launch cities, including community events, test rides, and experiential activations

- Build and engage a community of early adopters, advocates, and EV enthusiasts.

- Collaborate with the Sales and Retail teams to ensure seamless customer journey from marketing to purchase

Qualifications & Experience:

- 10+ years of marketing experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role

- Proven track record of building brands and driving growth for consumer products, automotive, durables, or tech hardware in India

- Hands-on experience in launching new products and managing full-funnel marketing campaigns

- Deep expertise in digital marketing, performance marketing, and marketing analytics

- Strong creative and analytical abilities with experience managing agencies and budgets

- Exceptional storytelling, communication, and presentation skills

- Based in or willing to relocate to Hyderabad

Good-to-Have:

- Experience in EV, automotive, or mobility sectors

- Understanding of the manufacturing/retail marketing cycle for high-consideration products

- Experience with both B2C and B2B marketing (e.g., fleet partnerships).

- Network within automotive/media/sustainability circles in India

- Passion for sustainability, technology, and the future of mobility
