Job Description: - To monitor and control the OEM marketing function for the identified segments at Client - To identify new business opportunities, and meet OEM sales growth objectives on the profitability - To maintain overall customer satisfaction and relationship - Suggest Alliance Strategy and maintain relationship with JV and alliance partners Responsibility: - Functional - Monitors and controls the OEM marketing function for the identified segments at client. - Interacts with customers to ensure overall customer satisfaction and continuously improve the same by a) articulating voice of the customer within various functions of the organization and b) maintaining cordial relationship at all levels of customer's organization - Develops and maintains relationship with JV and alliance partners to achieve organization goals continuously - Sets Marketing objectives and identifies strategies for each customer in line with company's Medium-Term Objectives (for example in the areas of: Sales growth, Profitability, Inventory, Receivables) - Prepares and releases Sales Budget for the customers and products in the segment, based on which the rest of the organization plans capacity, man power and other resources. - Identifies new business opportunities and get organizational buy in to pursue each opportunity - Identifies gaps in product offerings and customer needs to initiate product development activities - Supports Key account Managers in price negotiations of a) New products b) periodic commodity and other cost movements - Supports OE with regard to Supply Chain Manufacturing Units in ensuring Quality and Delivery performance - Reviews periodically the progress of projects committed to customer and help the CFTs trouble shoot/overcome hurdles to ensure milestones are achieved. - Overseeing the New Product development activities supporting the Programme Management team to ensure programme timelines. - Keeps track of customer, competitor and environment and advise organization on appropriate interventions (e.g new location creation etc) - Manages and monitors the outward freight (domestic and export) budget and warehouse budget Budgeting: - Prepares manpower, revenue and capital expenditure budget for the segment and seek management approval Cost management: - Controls cost through effective utilization of resources and institutionalizing operational efficiency (process improvement) in the department Management Reporting: - Provides segment inputs for Sales Performance report on a monthly basis and ensures that requisite data is well captured, collated and analyzed for making necessary decisions by the management People Responsibilities: - Leads the team of Key Account Managers to achieve the set objectives by : - Driving performance management process of the department by setting and communicating objectives, align, measure and assess performance and potential and provide developmental feedback. - Coaching and developing team members to elevate performance (department/ individual) and professional development (training, certification etc.) - Plans for manpower for current/future needs for the department - Recruits and supports HR in acquiring right talent for the department - Organizational Interventions - Actively leads/participates in organizational interventions (need based) Authority: - Authorize Pricing within approved guideline - Authorize Sales budget for the segment - Authorize Premium freight to support customer need - Authorize Credit notes up to a limit - Selection of manpower for the department - Authorize department expenditure within budget - Travel authorization - Domestic - Leave sanctioning - Authorize Purchase Order upto a limit - Authorize Gate Pass (returnable/non-returnable)
