Head of Marketing - Brand, Growth & Performance

Location:

Gurugram / Delhi NCR

Experience:

10 - 16 years

About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a Head of Marketing to lead the next phase of brand building, demand generation and customer growth for a rapidly scaling company.

This is a full-stack marketing leadership role spanning Brand, Growth, Performance, Product Marketing, Digital, Content and Customer Insights.

The ideal candidate will combine the brand-building discipline of FMCG/consumer businesses with the speed, ownership and experimentation mindset of a high-growth startup.

A key requirement for this role is experience in building a brand from the ground up - defining its positioning and proposition, establishing the marketing engine, creating the right customer narrative, building the team and taking the brand from an early stage to meaningful scale.

The role requires someone who can operate both strategically and hands-on, working closely with the founders, business, sales and product teams to ensure marketing directly contributes to business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own and drive the overall brand strategy and positioning.

- Build and strengthen the brand from an early-stage/scale-up position.

- Develop the brand proposition, messaging and communication architecture.

- Translate customer insights into differentiated brand propositions.

- Build awareness, consideration, recall and long-term brand equity.

- Develop integrated campaigns that create strong emotional and functional differentiation.

- Ensure consistency of brand identity and communication across all customer touchpoints.

- Identify opportunities for category creation and differentiation within electric commercial mobility.

- Build a scalable performance and growth marketing engine.

- Drive qualified leads, enquiries, test drives and customer acquisition.

- Own the marketing funnel from awareness through conversion.

- Develop and track metrics including CAC, conversion, ROI, lead quality and revenue contribution.

- Use data and analytics to optimise marketing spends and channel performance.

- Experiment with new acquisition channels, campaigns and customer journeys.

- Build a strong understanding of digital acquisition and customer behaviour.

- Lead marketing strategy for new product launches and market expansion.

- Develop differentiated GTM strategies across customer segments and geographies.

- Work closely with Product, Sales and Business teams to define product propositions.

- Translate product features and benefits into compelling customer communication.

- Develop launch plans covering positioning, messaging, media, digital, content and demand generation.

- Use market and customer insights to identify new opportunities.

- Develop a deep understanding of the commercial mobility customer.

- Understand customer needs, purchase behaviour, decision-making journeys and barriers to EV adoption.

- Build insights across fleet owners, logistics companies, last-mile operators, e-commerce players and other commercial users.

- Track competitors, category trends and evolving customer behaviour.

- Establish a strong feedback loop between customers, sales, product and marketing.

- Lead campaigns across digital, social, content, PR, events, partnerships and offline media.

- Manage creative, media, digital and other external agencies.

- Develop content and communication strategies that strengthen the brand and drive demand.

- Ensure all marketing activities are aligned with business priorities.

- Balance long-term brand building with short-term demand generation.

- Work closely with the founders, CEO, Sales, Product, Strategy and Business teams.

- Translate business objectives into marketing priorities and measurable KPIs.

- Build marketing dashboards and establish clear performance metrics.

- Track marketing contribution to leads, conversions, customer acquisition and revenue.

- Manage and optimise marketing budgets.

- Ensure marketing is viewed as a business-growth function, not simply a communication function.

- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team across Brand, Performance, Growth, Digital, Product Marketing, Content, Communications and Customer Insights.

- Hire, mentor and develop strong marketing talent.

- Build the marketing function and processes as the organisation scales.

- Create a culture of ownership, experimentation, speed and data-driven decision making.

- Build and manage a strong external agency and partner ecosystem.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a full-stack marketing leader with 10 - 16 years of overall marketing experience.

- Proven experience of building a brand from scratch or from a very early stage.

- Experience defining brand positioning, proposition, architecture and communication.

- Demonstrated ability to take a brand from early stage to meaningful scale.

- Strong experience across FMCG, Consumer, Consumer Tech, Automotive, Mobility or other high-consideration categories.

- Strong exposure to performance and growth marketing.

- Experience working in a high-growth startup or entrepreneurial environment.

- Ability to work in a hands-on, execution-oriented environment.

- Strong understanding of customer insights and digital marketing.

- Experience managing marketing budgets and external agencies.

- Strong commercial orientation with an understanding of CAC, conversion, ROI and revenue impact.

- Experience working directly with founders/CEOs and cross-functional leadership teams.

- Experience building and managing high-performing teams.

What Success Looks Like:

The Head of Marketing will be expected to build a marketing engine that can build the brand, create demand, drive acquisition, improve conversion and deliver business growth.

Key success metrics will include brand awareness and consideration, brand differentiation, qualified lead generation, customer acquisition, CAC, marketing ROI, lead-to-sale conversion, product launch success, marketing contribution to revenue, digital acquisition and engagement, customer insights and marketing team capability and scale.
