Preferred Background: Beauty, Skincare, Personal Care, FMCG, FMCD, D2C, E-commerce

About the role:


We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Marketing & Brand Strategy to lead the end-to-end brand narrative, product positioning, and omnichannel marketing strategy for our client, a fast-growing digital-first D2C brand. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a customer-obsessed storyteller, and a data-savvy brand custodian who can drive both brand equity and commercial outcomes. This is a Leadership level role reporting directly to the Founder/CEO and offers the opportunity to shape the next phase of brand growth, innovation, and market leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Vision & Strategic Leadership:

- Define and execute a compelling brand vision that resonates with today's conscious, digital-first consumer.

- Craft differentiated brand positioning and integrated marketing strategies aligned with business growth objectives.

- Drive brand storytelling across platforms to deepen emotional resonance and build long-term brand equity.

Product Strategy & Market Innovation:

- Partner with the Product & R&D teams to influence the product roadmap based on market insights, customer needs, and category trends.

- Own the Go-to-Market strategy for new product launches with a sharp focus on impact, innovation, and speed-to-market.

- Ensure continuous innovation and relevance through consumer and competitor intelligence.

Omnichannel Marketing & Content Ecosystem:

- Lead and orchestrate brand presence across digital, social, performance, influencer, PR, and offline touchpoints.

- Build an ecosystem of high-impact campaigns that integrate content, commerce, and community to drive conversion and retention.

- Ensure seamless execution across owned, earned, and paid media channels.

Influencer, PR & Strategic Alliances:

- Cultivate long-term partnerships with influencers, content creators, and brand ambassadors aligned with brand values.

- Develop strategic media and PR alliances to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership in the category.

- Own the brand's voice in public, press, and partner-facing conversations.

Performance, SEO & Growth Marketing

- Drive collaboration with performance and SEO teams to ensure brand-led growth in organic and paid channels.

- Guide the creation of marketing assets and campaigns that drive traffic, engagement, and acquisition.

- Integrate brand marketing with growth goals through measurable KPIs.

Leadership & Team Development

- Lead, inspire, and mentor a high-performing team of creatives, marketers, growth specialists, PR, and brand strategists.

- Foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and accountability.

- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Growth, Marketplace, and Operations teams.

Requirement

- 8-12 years of progressive experience in brand and marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

- Proven success in building and scaling brands within D2C, personal care, skincare, FMCG, or lifestyle sectors.

- Deep understanding of brand building in a digital ecosystem, with strong acumen in consumer psychology and emerging trends.

- Demonstrated ability to lead teams across creative, growth, and strategic verticals with a bias for execution.

- Highly analytical and metrics-driven; able to balance creativity with commercial impact.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and storytelling skills.
