Head of Manufacturing - Snack Food & Bakery Products
The Position Summary:
The Head of Manufacturing will be responsible for leading and optimizing all manufacturing operations of the plant, ensuring the production of high-quality bakery & snack food products in line with company standards, cost targets, and regulatory requirements. This role requires a strategic leader with deep technical expertise in food manufacturing, strong operational excellence skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation within a fast-paced, competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Operations:
- Develop and implement the overall manufacturing strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead, manage, and mentor functional teams.
- Ensure production targets are achieved in terms of volume, quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Drive operational efficiency and scalability to support business growth across markets.
Quality, Safety & Compliance:
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards.
- Champion a strong culture of health, safety, and sustainability across all sites.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices.
- Drive automation, digital transformation, and process optimization initiatives.
- Partner with R&D and Supply Chain on product innovation and new line commissioning.
Financial & Resource Management:
- Manage and control manufacturing budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and optimal resource utilization.
- Oversee capital expenditure projects, including new facility development and equipment upgrades.
- Ensure effective workforce planning, training, and talent development for long-term capability building.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 15+ years of manufacturing experience in the food & beverage or FMCG sector, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in high-volume snack food or packaged food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulatory compliance, and international certifications.
- Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and modern manufacturing practices.
- Experience in managing multi-site operations within the Middle East or international markets.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
