
Head - Manufacturing HR

Role Summary
The Head - Manufacturing HR will lead the overall HR, Industrial Relations, employee relations and statutory compliance agenda across 5-6 manufacturing plants. The role will provide strategic leadership to Plant HR teams while partnering with Plant Heads and the Group CHRO on workforce strategy, productivity and organisational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HR and Industrial Relations across 5-6 plants and manage a team of ~10 HR professionals.
- Own union management, collective bargaining, long-term wage settlements, bonus settlements, strikes, lockouts and industrial disputes.
- Ensure compliance with Labour Laws, Labour Codes, PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Gratuity, Bonus and other statutory requirements.
- Oversee labour/civil litigation, disciplinary matters, grievances and shop-floor employee relations.
- Drive workforce productivity, manpower planning, upskilling and reskilling of the manufacturing workforce.
- Partner with business leadership on labour cost, organisation effectiveness and workforce transformation.
- Oversee Corporate Office Administration at Bangalore.
- Build consistent HR governance and processes across all manufacturing locations.
Candidate Profile
- 15-25 years of HR experience, preferably in consumer/FMCG/consumer durables or large-scale manufacturing.
- Strong experience in unionised manufacturing environments and multi-plant HR leadership.
- Deep expertise in IR, labour laws, wage settlements and labour litigation.
- Strong knowledge of the new Labour Codes and statutory compliance.
- Strategic mindset with strong negotiation, stakeholder management and shop-floor orientation.
- Experience in workforce capability building, productivity improvement and change management.
Qualification: MBA/PGDM - HR / MSW, with LLB preferred.
Age: Up to 48years.
