
Role Overview
An opportunity to lead end-to-end operations for a high-output FMCG manufacturing facility, driving production excellence, cost efficiency, advanced automation, and ensuring stringent quality and safety standards while scaling a world-class plant.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Management & Operations:
- Lead overall plant operations, covering production, engineering, compliance, and administrative functions.
- Implement Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, 5S, and other best-practice manufacturing systems.
- Ensure adherence to industrial safety, statutory norms, and internal policies.
- Track plant KPIs to drive operational efficiency and timely output.
- Coordinate with local authorities, external partners, and internal teams as the plant's primary representative.
2. Production Planning & Quality Oversight:
- Execute production plans in line with demand requirements.
- Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, and internal quality standards.
- Support R&D and Quality teams on NPD trials, scale-up, and process improvements.
- Lead efforts to reduce rejection, rework, and quality deviations.
3. Cost & Efficiency Management:
- Manage plant operating costs across materials, utilities, manpower, and maintenance.
- Drive cost optimisation through automation and process enhancements.
- Improve key metrics such as cost/kg, line efficiency, waste levels, and overtime utilisation.
4. Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination:
- Oversee inbound material flow to avoid stock-outs and ensure production continuity.
- Align dispatches and outbound logistics with the supply chain team.
- Maintain healthy inventory levels and ensure robust warehouse operations.
5. People Leadership & Safety:
- Lead teams across production, engineering, quality, EHS, HR, and support functions.
- Build a performance-oriented culture through clear goals and capability development.
- Ensure compliance with labour regulations and promote a safe, engaged work environment.
Skills and Qualifications
Education:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Production Engineering.
Experience:
- 15-20 years of experience in FMCG or other high-speed manufacturing setups.
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale plants or multi-unit operations with strong operational rigor.
- Solid understanding of automation technologies, modern manufacturing systems, safety frameworks, and statutory compliance.

- Strong capability in strategic planning and day-to-day operational execution.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership in managing and developing large, cross-functional teams.
- Strong focus on cost optimisation, efficiency improvement, and productivity enhancement.
