Manufacturing Head Purpose of the Role : This position exists to plan and drive end-to-end production activities with the objective of meeting daily / monthly PQCDSM targets and driving continuous improvement with the development of employees to ensure plant profitability. Key Responsibilities : Production Planning & Resource Management - Review daily, weekly, and monthly production plan - Study the weekly, N+3 plan received from PPC and review tasks distributed within the department (internal planning) - Ensure the team is raising material requisition to store, based on the plan Monitoring & Review - Conduct review meetings for production on a daily and monthly basis - Review key metrics related to productivity, quality, cost, safety, morale, capacity utilization, etc; provide guidance to the team on improving performance. Quality Management & Process Improvement - Review with the production and Quality team for timely inspection of the parts produced and discuss and ensure implementation of improvement plans. - Review RCA/data analysis related to part defects, rework, and rejections - Review the implementation of corrective actions and ensure the sustenance of improvement Compliance Management & audit - Ensure that all factory compliances are being met and extend support for adherence of same to HR, Maintenance, and Safety Team. - Educate & train team members on Addverb IMS, respective processes, documents, and records Safety Management - Be a role model for the team as far as safety practices are concerned - Ensure toolbox talks are happening at the beginning of the shift, encourage line leaders & supervisors to the effectiveness - Evaluate PPE being used along with the safety team along encourage proper usage of PPEs by all team members (including contractual staff) New Product Development (NPD) - Provide inputs to the team in meetings with Design, ME, Purchase & SCM regarding new product development - Review challenges in the production of new parts and suggest resolution through design/process change and by involving relevant stakeholders. Equipment Upkeep, Maintenance & Automation - Conduct 5S Rounds to check and improve the cleanliness of the work area and proper upkeep of machines & equipment across shifts - Review with the maintenance and production team for preventive maintenance checksheets, action on MTBF, and ensure machines are released as per schedule Customer Complaint Handling - Respond promptly and resolve issues with the Projects or After Sales team in case of any issue with the product or material that has been sent to the site - Review customer complaints received by the Quality team from customers - Project, After Sales, customer sites People Management - Treat all team members with respect; act as a role model for the team for upholding Addverb Values and Code of Conduct. Conduct Training sessions from time to time, Key Skills / Experience Required : Educational Qualification - BE in Mechanical/ Electrical / Industrial / Automobile Engineering from tier II and MBA operations Prior experience - 20+ years of experience in OEM and Two-wheeler auto, Major auto ancillary industry with exposure to Operation Management systems - Should have handled direct and Indirect departments - Should have worked as Plant Head for more than 5 years at least
