Head - Manufacturing - Automotive

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manufacturing Operations:

- Lead and manage end-to-end operations of Maharashtra & Karnataka plants.

- Drive production planning, scheduling, and on-time delivery performance.

- Execute daily manufacturing operations with zero delays and high agility.

- Ensure high machine availability, throughput, and manpower productivity.

2. Supply Chain & Procurement Leadership:

- Oversee procurement, vendor development, strategic sourcing, and inventory management.

- Drive cost efficiencies through negotiation, material optimization, and supplier consolidation.

- Lead supply chain planning for raw materials and finished goods across all plants.

3. Expansion & New Factory Set-up:

- Drive the establishment and ramp-up of the upcoming third manufacturing plant.

- Lead layout planning, machinery procurement, project timelines, and commissioning.

4. People Leadership:

- Lead a team of 600+ employees across operations, maintenance, quality, and logistics.

- Build a high-performance culture focused on discipline, accountability, and speed.

- Mentor and develop next-line leadership across plants.

5. Quality & Compliance:

- Drive zero-defect mindset and lean manufacturing initiatives.

- Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental, and safety norms.

6. Cost Efficiency & Productivity Improvements:

- Implement aggressive cost-reduction initiatives across materials, manpower, and processes.

- Drive operational excellence initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, TPM, automation).

- Reduce cost per unit, wastage, and production downtime.

7. Strategic Input to Founders:

- Work closely with founders on long-term manufacturing strategy.

- Provide insights on capacity planning, capacity expansion, and operations risks.

Candidate Requirements:

Must-Haves:

- 10+ years of total experience.

- Led operations for at least a 1000+ Cr organization.

- Strong exposure to Production + Supply Chain + Procurement (all three).

- Track record of cost reduction, productivity improvement, and aggressive execution.
