Head - Manufacturing & Operations

Head - Manufacturing & Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership across the organization's manufacturing and plant operations.

The incumbent will be responsible for translating business strategy into manufacturing capacity, production excellence, operational efficiency, quality, cost competitiveness and customer delivery performance.

The role requires a strong combination of strategic thinking, manufacturing expertise, commercial understanding and people leadership, with the ability to manage complex production environments and drive transformation at scale.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Power, Electrical, Transmission & Distribution, Heavy Engineering, Industrial Equipment, EPC or related manufacturing industries.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end manufacturing and plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable production.

- Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with business growth and customer requirements.

- Own production planning, capacity utilization, productivity and on-time delivery.

- Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Optimize manufacturing costs, manpower utilization, material consumption and overall operational efficiency.

- Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, safety requirements and regulatory guidelines.

- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Projects, Sales and Finance teams.

- Lead capacity expansion, plant modernization, automation and manufacturing transformation initiatives.

- Monitor key operational KPIs including OEE, productivity, rejection, rework, downtime, cost and delivery performance.

- Build and develop a high-performing manufacturing and operations leadership team.

- Drive effective maintenance strategies to improve equipment availability and minimize downtime.

- Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Establish a culture of safety, accountability, quality and continuous improvement.

Education And Profile:

- 15+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Plant Operations, Production or Operations Management.

- Experience in Power, Electrical, Transmission, Switchgear, Transformers, Cables, EPC or Heavy Engineering would be preferred.

- Strong experience managing large-scale manufacturing/plant operations.

- Proven exposure to Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, automation and productivity improvement.

- Strong understanding of production planning, quality systems, supply chain and cost management.

- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and problem-solving capabilities.

- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver business-critical operational targets.
