Head - Logistics - Manufacturing

About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned logistics professional to lead the end-to-end logistics and distribution function for a reputed business conglomerate with a strong national footprint.

The incumbent will be responsible for designing and executing the organization's logistics strategy - ensuring seamless transportation, optimized cost structures, and high service efficiency across multiple manufacturing units and markets. This leadership role demands a balance of strategic thinking, operational execution, and people leadership to drive overall supply chain excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive logistics strategy covering primary and secondary distribution networks across the country.

- Operations Leadership: Manage large-scale dispatch, transportation, and warehousing activities with a focus on cost, efficiency, and service reliability.

- Network Optimization: Build and maintain a balanced and scalable logistics network supporting business expansion and sustainability goals.

- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Procurement teams to align logistics with business priorities.

- Partner Development: Oversee transporter and vendor relationships - ensuring strong SLAs, negotiation effectiveness, and long-term partnerships.

- Technology Enablement: Drive automation, visibility, and analytics through digital tools, ERP, and logistics management systems.

- Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure adherence to statutory, safety, and environmental norms; implement sustainable logistics practices.

- Team Development: Lead and mentor a diverse team of logistics professionals across regions, fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
