Job Purpose:

The Head of Logistics (EXIM) is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics and transportation activities critical to the execution of projects. This includes securing the most competitive rates for logistics, ensuring timely delivery of materials to project sites, and maintaining strict compliance with the regulations set by the Government of India, Customs, and DGFT, as well as international guidelines. The role is pivotal in aligning logistics strategies with project budgets and timelines, contributing directly to the organizations operational excellence and global standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Key Responsibility Areas:

- Logistics Rate Negotiation: Secure competitive rates for ocean and air transportation in line with vendor nominations, both domestic and international.

- Project Bidding: Participate in project bidding processes, providing logistics cost estimations to ensure competitive and accurate proposals.

- Project Execution: Manage the logistics aspects of project execution, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of materials to project sites.

- Transportation Rate Finalization: Finalize transportation rates for ocean and air logistics, ensuring alignment with project budgets and vendor requirements.

- Material Delivery: Oversee the delivery of materials to the final project site within budget constraints and project timelines.

- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to the guidelines and regulations of the Government of India, Customs, DGFT, and international standards.

- Regulatory Expertise: Play a critical role in navigating regulatory frameworks in India and overseas, mitigating risks and ensuring smooth operations.

- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with vendors, government bodies, and internal teams to ensure seamless logistics operations.

- Risk Management: Identify and address potential risks in the logistics chain, developing contingency plans to minimize disruptions.

- Cost Adherence: Follow rules and regulations of the government, maintain cost as per the tender agreement, ensuring no additional costs or overheads.

- Timely Delivery of Goods: Ensure the timely delivery of goods in accordance with project schedules and timelines.
