Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the International logistics strategy for all international markets.
- Build scalable logistics regions including Europe & USA.
- Identify and implement best-in-class practices to optimize cost, speed, and service levels.
- Lead logistics transformation initiatives, including digitization, automation, and network redesign.
2. International Transportation & Distribution Management
- Oversee global freight operations (air, ocean, road, rail) and manage international carriers and 3PL partners.
- Ensure optimal route planning, freight consolidation, and capacity planning.
- Drive continuous improvement in transport efficiency, on-time delivery, and cost performance.
3. Global Warehousing & Inventory
- Manage international warehouse footprint, including 3PL fulfillment centers.
- Establish KPIs for performance, accuracy, service levels, and safety.
- Align stock levels and replenishment plans with global demand and supply planning teams.
4. Customs, Trade Compliance & Regulatory
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, export/import documentation, and HTS classification.
- Build strong processes for audits, certifications, and regulatory reporting.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to mitigate cross-border risk.
5. Vendor & Partner Management
- Select, negotiate, and manage global logistics service providers (3PLs, forwarders, carriers).
- Develop long-term global partnerships with strong SLA governance and quarterly business reviews.
- Implement performance scorecards to track reliability, lead times, and cost efficiency.
6. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives in cost optimization, process automation, route optimization, and TMS/WMS enhancements.
- Implement global KPIs and dashboards for visibility and decision-making.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective action processes for service failures.
7. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Lead and mentor multinational logistics teams.
- Collaborate with supply chain planning, procurement, sales, and finance to deliver end-to-end supply chain excellence.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or related field.
- Masters degree (MBA/MS Supply Chain) preferred.
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive logistics or supply chain experience, including significant international exposure.
- Demonstrated leadership of global teams and management of cross-border logistics networks.
- Strong experience with 3PL/4PL management and global freight procurement.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment such as FMCG, e-commerce, manufacturing, or retail.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of global trade laws, customs regulations, INCOTERMS, and international shipping processes.
- Proficiency with TMS, WMS, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Ability to analyze data, develop budgets, and drive cost-reduction programs.
