Job Description:


We have requirement with one of the Leading NBFC for Head Learning & Development.

Position: Head L&D

Education: MBA/ PGDM/ PGDBA

Location: Chennai

Age: Max 45 Years

Job Role:


In this role, incumbent will be responsible for product and behavioral learning initiatives of the company.

Incumbent will be responsible for partnering with business to understand:


- Collaborate with senior management, state and local business leaders to asses Learning needs across various levels and roles in the company, and build linkages to improving productivity. Ensure appropriate documentation of the same.


- Identify delivery mechanism for programs, keeping in mind geographical spread of the organization.

- Ensure effective tracking measures are built, to ensure efficacy of programs.

- Digitize Learning so that we able to achieve scale, manage costs better.

- Skill Gap build regular reviews with function, keeping in mind future requirements and ensure relevant courses are made available for organization talent.

- Succession Planning - You will also be involved in ensuring that the Succession Planning program in the company is implemented as per the plan.

- Creation and implementation of Individual Development Plan (IDP) for key role holders/ talent in discussion with business leaders

- Build and manage a team of trainers, course creators, administrators in the company and ensure that they also are working on improving their skills.

- Understand and bring in best in class learning curricula to ensure that the employees receive the best possible training.

- Partner with Academia to understand and learn new age learning practices and see how the same can be adopted in the Company.

- Governance- Ensure appropriate documentation of all learning protocols and agreements.


- Cost Control & Budget: Plan your L&D budget to ensure that we are able to provide Learning in a blended version. Responsible for conducting business within the budgeted norms set for Revenue and capital expenditure.


- Human Resource: Partner with HR on all critical processes


- Relationship Management: Our customers are our employees, business and organization. So, we need to partner with them and maintain excellent relationships.

- Planning: Participate in Design, development of new products / schemes and achieving budgeted market penetration to become a lead player in every segment of the state

- MIS: Collate and share market information, customer insights & performance parameters in specified formats on a regular basis.

- New Initiatives: Develop and implement effective marketing activities to improve revenue by enhancing customer experience/retention on all products. Devising schemes, innovative products

- Train: Ensure existing trainers are trained and focus on building skills

Experience Required/ Skill Sets and Behavioral Traits:


Experience Required:


- In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-learning and coaching)

- Experience organizing training activities in a corporate environment

- Hands-on experience with project management and budgeting

- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS)

- Excellent communication and leadership skills

- Goal / Target Oriented

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

- Strong in spoken English and Hindi / Vernacular language
